Hi guys, I made up a similar jig today, I took an old blade, hammered out the set then used a stone on the blade while it was running on the saw to adjust the kerf. No trouble slotting since the cuts are not deep. Will most likely need to touch up after board is radiused with my handsaw though. I tested with some fret wire and they do hold well.
